Refund Policy

We want you to be confident in choosing Inkwell. Here's exactly how refunds and cancellations work.

The short version: Cancel anytime, no questions asked. If you cancel within the first 7 days of your initial subscription, you get a full refund. After that, cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period.

1. 7-Day Money-Back Guarantee

New subscribers are eligible for a full refund within the first 7 days of their initial subscription. If Inkwell isn't the right fit, email us within 7 days and we'll process your refund in full, no questions asked.

This guarantee applies to your first subscription period only. It does not apply to renewals or plan upgrades.

2. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Here's what happens:

  • Your subscription remains active through the end of your current billing period
  • No additional charges will be made after the current period
  • Any content already generated is yours to keep permanently
  • Undelivered articles scheduled for the remainder of your billing period will still be delivered

3. Refunds After the 7-Day Period

After the initial 7-day period, we generally do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. However, we may consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis in the following situations:

  • Extended service outage — If Inkwell experiences significant downtime affecting your content delivery
  • Billing errors — Duplicate charges or incorrect amounts
  • Severe quality issues — Consistent content that doesn't meet the standards described in your plan

4. Plan Changes

Upgrading

When you upgrade to a higher plan, the price difference is prorated for the remainder of your current billing period. The new plan features take effect immediately.

Downgrading

Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing period. You retain your current plan's features through the end of the current period.

5. How Refunds Are Processed

  • Refunds are issued to your original payment method via Stripe
  • Processing typically takes 5-10 business days to appear on your statement
  • Refund amounts are in USD, the same currency as your original payment
